In 1593 Gráinne Ní Mháille (Granuaile / Grace O'Malley), the Irish pirate queen made the journey to London to meet Queen Elizabeth I.
While this meeting and its outcome are historical facts, there is no record of what transpired between these two powerful women.
This is the story of their conversation.

Dennis Michael Corcoran – Playwright - Biography

Dennis is from St. Louis, MO but has lived and worked in various areas of the U.S., the Middle East and Europe prior to his retirement in January, 2009.  After retirement, Dennis turned to theatre.  In the past three years he has written numerous plays, had four staged productions with two plays gaining national recognition through The Kennedy Center.  He has unintentionally become known for directing Irish plays by Irish playwrights, notably the stage works of Samuel Beckett.  His most recent production, Krapp’s Last Tape, December, 2011, was termed “masterful” and “pristine”.

The Irish language is Dennis’ special love.  He has spent years trying to gain fluency with what he calls his “native” tongue.  These efforts have led to innumerable evenings spent in the pubs of SW Donegal, countless bouts of singing and tall-tale-telling, in Irish and English, all unforgettable, if only he could remember them.

To have the likes of The Fallen Angel Theatre Company, Aedin Moloney and Ruth Kavanagh present this play is an honor beyond measure, one for which Dennis is deeply grateful.
