AEDIN MOLONEY – Producer/Artistic Director

 

Aedin has called New York City home for 16 years.  She is Founder and Artistic Director of Fallen Angel Theatre Company, Inc.  The New York based company is committed to presenting the most outstanding and daring new Irish and British plays written by and about Women. Currently, she is playing the role of Rose in the Irish Repertory Theatre'sacclaimed production of Dancing at Lughnasa by Brian Friel.

She is a graduate of the Samuel Beckett Theatre Centre, Trinity College Dublin.  Some of Aedin’s theatre producing credits in New York include: Talent (Victoria Wood) & Cell (Paula Meehan) with Fallen Angel Theatre Company and presented as part of 1st Irish Festival.  Hobsons Choice at the Atlantic Theatre and directed by David Warren, Madame Killer (Honor Kane Molloy) with Clubbed Thumb Theatre Company and MacBeth with Gorilla Repertory Theatre.  Her work with the Irish Repertory Theatre includes:  Shadow of a Gunman (O’Casey), Playboy of the Western World (Synge), Eclipsed (Brogan), Juno & the Paycock (O’Casey), Same Old Moon (Geraldine Aron) & Pigtown (Mike Finn).  Her work with the Irish Arts Center includes: Bar & Ger (Aron) & Celtic Tiger Me Arse (Creedon).Regional theatre includes Under Milk Wood (Dylan Thomas) at the Hartford Stage Theatre and directed by Mark Lamos.
Aedin has worked extensively with the BBC, ITV (UK) & Channel Four (UK). Other TV Work in Great Britain and New York include: Ballykissangel (Recurring), The Moth, The Bill & Vanity Fair, Law and Order (Criminal Intent).Her Film credits include: Nora, playing James Joyce’s sister, Eva (also starring Ewan McGregor), Far & Away (directed by Ron Howard), The Captives, Agnes Brown (directed by Angelica Houston) and Diary of a Madman.

JOHN KEATING
– Associate Director 

 

John Keating’s recent New York performances include The New York Idea at the Atlantic Theatre, Measure for Measure at Theatre for a New Audience, Is Life Worth Living and John Ferguson, both at The Mint Theatre, Aristocrats and Around the World in 80 Days, both at Irish Rep and Ladies and Gents at Irish Arts. He has also worked at the Roundabout (Juno and the Paycock), with Talking Band and is a company member at Irish Rep, where he has performed in 11 shows. Leading regional performances include world premieres at San Francisco’s A.C.T. (A Mother), The Wilma (Raw Boys) and shows at the Old Globe, Cincinnati Playhouse, Hartford Stage, Two Rivers, Westport Playhouse (David Copperfield - dir. Joanne Woodward) and others. Recent TV includes a recurring role on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, Pickering in HBO’s John Adams, L & O:SVU, Nurse Jackie, Lipstick Jungle. He has narrated over 60 audiobooks (4 Earphones awards, Audie Nom.) and is part of WNYC’s Stoppard Radio Play series this season. John has directed Talent and Cell for Fallen Angel Theatre and The Good Thief as part of the 1st Irish Festival.

 

RUTH KAVANAGH - Executive Director

 

Ruth trained at Arts Educational Drama School, London, holds an MA in Contemporary Theatre Practice from the University of Essex and a BA in International Marketing, German and French from DCU, Dublin. She is co-founder of Kassiopia Theatre Company. Previous credits for Kassiopia as actor and producer are: One Last White Horse (London, UK), The Marlboro Man (Milwaukee Irish Fest) and Lovers—Winners (London, Edinburgh Festival, various venues in US). New York acting credits include: BritBits, Nights of Wrath, Nora’s Bloke, Blood Wedding; London credits include The Maids, Yerma, The Women, Tingeltangel—A Weimar Cabaret, Steel Magnolias. Ruth is also a voice-over artist and has taught drama and dance workshops and classes in NYC, London, Ireland and Italy. She is the grant writer for Spokane Civic Theatre. www.ruthkavanagh.com
